As a result of Hurricane Irma, The Ivey House will remain closed while we repair. We anticipate this to be for about the next 30 days. If you have a reservation between now and October 15, we will be in touch just as soon as possible. Please check our website for updates. Thank you.

Canoe & Kayak Rentals

Canoe & Kayak Rentals

If you’re longing to paddle the lush, exotic Everglades habitats but do not own your own boat, Everglades Adventures, located at Ivey House, is your home for canoe and kayak rentals in Everglades City. Rentals are available from November through April, 2017. Reservations are strongly suggested to ensure availability. All rentals include paddles and personal flotation devices (PFDs) for each paddler.

Please note that children must be at least 5-years-old to participate.

A non-refundable deposit of $26.50 per boat is required at the time of reservation. Rental prices are subject to change but are guaranteed once you make your reservation

Everglades Adventures rental boats and equipment can only be transported to your chosen paddle location by one of our regularly scheduled Ivey House shuttles.

Rentals ending at Everglades National Park must be returned by 5:00 pm. Rentals ending at Turner River or Seagrape will be picked up by 4:30pm. All overnight rentals must be returned to Everglades National Park by 4:00 pm (3:00 pm if returning to Flamingo). If late, additional charges will apply.

To secure a boat rental reservation, you will need to choose your destination(s) and obtain any necessary permits. Permits, if required, are necessary to complete your paperwork, which must be completed prior to any boat(s) being shuttled. Both Everglades National Park and Big Cypress National Preserve require permits. We provide permits for Big Cypress National Preserve locations. National Park permits can be obtained at the Flamingo or Gulf Coast Visitor’s Centers the day before or the morning of your trip.
