More Information:

Rates not available Seafood Festival Weekend, which is the 2nd weekend in the month of February.

This package includes one of our world-famous guided eco-paddle trips, an amazing half-day swamp buggy tour, a thrilling airboat tour and a generous box lunch for each participant.

Kayak: You’ll travel with one of our guides, trained and certified by the National Park Service, on a journey along one of our beautiful local rivers. There, you’ll experience the beauty of cypress swamps and the magic of mangrove tunnels in the most enchanting fresh-water habitats of the western Everglades while you glide silently past alligators, rare birds and a multitude of other wildlife that call the Everglades “home”.

Note: each of our guided paddle trips spans a four-hour period of time and includes an orientation briefing, transportation from the Ivey House Inn to a local river, around 3 hours of paddle time, a snack, water and return transportation to the Ivey House.

Airboat:  Next in this adventure is a thrilling ride (about one hour in length) on one of the Everglades’ most popular forms of transportation: a 6-passenger airboat! These amazing flat-bottom boats are able to travel through waters just an inch or two deep as slowly or rapidly as necessary to allow you to experience broad mangrove tunnels and vast open areas of sawgrass prairie. Propelled by large, powerful fans (they don’t call our provider “Speedy Johnson” for nothing!) you’ll experience the thrill of seeing beautiful Everglades’ vistas and wildlife from a whole different perspective than you did on your kayak adventure!

Swamp Buggy:  Fianlly is the unique excitement of traveling the Everglades on a genuine swamp buggy. These large, elevated 4-wheel drive open-air (but covered) vehicles are able to travel comfortably through areas no other vehicles can possibly traverse, where you’ll have the opportunity to view wildlife in its natural habitats. You’ll experience a 4-hour tour on established trails (which minimizes environmental impacts) within the amazing ecosystem of the Big Cypress National Preserve. While on the tour, you’ll be on the lookout for a multitude of indigenous species. If you'd like to maximize your adventure, you'll have the opportunity of making a short swamp walk during your trip, so be sure to bring or wear shoes that you won't mind getting wet!!

* This package must be completed in two consecutive days.
