The Lodge

The Lodge

The historic Lodge was originally built in the 1920s to serve as a recreation center for the workers constructing the Tamiami Trail. Today, the cozy Lodge harkens back to this simpler, nostalgic period. The Lodge features 11 air-conditioned rooms just off a long hallway and common area with shared men’s and women’s bathrooms.

Each room has either one full-size bed and one twin, or one queen. There are no heaters, TVs, phones, or bathrooms in these rooms. A few heaters are located in the hallway and living room. Guests often gather in the common living room to share stories, read, play games, or watch TV. The Lodge is also a short walk to the tropical courtyard where you can enjoy a dip in our heated, screened-in pool. The Lodge provides a welcome respite after a long kayaking adventure or a good night’s sleep before kicking one off.
